It was late at night, just after the rain had stopped.
On the side of the road, a passerby noticed something small and trembling. A kitten, soaked through, pressed against the ground as if trying to disappear into the darkness. His body shook with cold and fear.
The man didn’t hesitate.
With no proper supplies, he did the best he could. At home, he created a small shelter using an empty water bottle—simple, improvised, but warm enough to keep the kitten safe through the night.
That was the beginning.
The First Diagnosis
By the next day, the kitten was eating a little, but something still wasn’t right.
A veterinary visit confirmed the concern. The kitten had a severe case of ringworm. Large patches of fur were already gone, leaving sensitive skin exposed. Daily treatment would be necessary, along with careful hygiene and proper nutrition.

The man gave him a name: Wang Jindou, meaning Golden Bean.
Days of Patience and Routine
From day two to day ten, the routine rarely changed.
Each day, medication was applied gently. Meals were prepared carefully. Follow-up visits ensured the treatment stayed on track. Jindou endured it all quietly, growing stronger even as his fur continued to shed.
Progress was slow—but steady.
Healing Takes Time
Between day eleven and day thirty-three, a new challenge emerged.

Beyond the ringworm, Jindou’s skin showed signs of weak immunity. The treatment plan was adjusted. His caregiver remained consistent—never skipping a day, never rushing the process.
When possible, Jindou was taken outside to enjoy gentle sunlight near the beach. New toys were introduced. A comfortable space was created just for him.
Little by little, his personality began to surface.
He became curious. Alert. Playful.
Trust Grows Alongside Strength
As his body healed, so did his confidence.
Jindou followed his caregiver from room to room. He learned routines quickly and responded with affection, curling close whenever he felt safe. The kitten who once trembled in the rain now greeted each day with energy and curiosity.

A New Life Begins
By day thirty-four, the transformation was clear.
Jindou’s fur had grown back, soft and full. His skin was healthy. His movements were confident. He had reached full recovery.
From day thirty-four to day forty-one, he explored a new living environment. He went on gentle walks, watched fish with fascination, and enjoyed a life filled with calm and care.
Jindou was no longer surviving.
He was living.
