Able’s story began in a place of unimaginable hardship. Found on the streets, he was in critical condition after being electrocuted. The accident left him unable to control his front legs, and the damage was severe. In order to save his life, the veterinary team made the difficult decision to amputate both of his front legs and his tail.

It was a heart-wrenching decision, but it was the only chance Able had to survive.

Despite the seriousness of his injuries, Able’s spirit remained unbroken. His determination to survive was evident from the very beginning. After spending time at the animal rescue shelter, Able’s story caught the attention of a dedicated staff member who decided to take him in. His new owner went to great lengths to research how to best support a disabled cat, creating a safe environment and learning ways to help Able move with greater ease.

With the help of his new family and endless care, Able adapted remarkably. He learned to move using his strong back legs, hopping around like a little kangaroo. What once seemed impossible was now a daily reality. Able, once fragile and unable to move freely, now runs, jumps, and even climbs stairs with ease.

At home, Able found a friend in Finn, another disabled cat who was paralyzed in his back legs. The two quickly became inseparable, offering each other companionship, encouragement, and comfort.
