The rescue team immediately rushed Casper to Ankara for further examination. After conducting X-rays, the doctors found no fractures or dislocated joints. But the blood test revealed that Casper had tested positive for Toxoplasma, a harmful parasite that can severely impact a cat’s health. Despite the diagnosis, the treatments at Ankara didn’t produce the expected results. Casper’s condition worsened rapidly, and he fell into a critical state.
Seeking Hope in Izmir
In search of a better treatment option, Casper was transferred to a clinic in Izmir, where the doctors conducted a series of tests to diagnose the root cause of his declining health. It was there that they discovered Casper had Syringomyelia, a condition where fluid accumulates in the spinal cord, hindering the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This was likely the reason for his paralysis and intense pain. The doctors also suspected that Casper might have FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a serious viral disease that can further compromise his immune system.
